The performance/concert joins the two projects Matrika and Enchanting Circles in a single musical stream.
Matrika, a Sanskrit word, represents the Cosmic Mother, the Origin. Matrika is trilogy of dances on three aspects of the feminine: Shakti, Matrika and Shekara.
Scene I : Shakti Dance of the drum. Essence of sound. White.
Scene II : Matrika. Dance of birth, to eat and eat again life. Red-fire red.
Scene III : Shekara. Snake dance. Energy changes skin. Black-deep blue.
Enchanting Circles, a project on the singing drum, is also a recording recently released by the Alfa Music label. Considered “a strong contribution to modern frame drumming” (Scott Robinson), is the fabric upon which Luisa Spagna waves her dance.
Music guides the flow of the dance, its gestures and suggestions and dialogues with it through sounds and meaning.
Lo spettacolo/concerto riunisce in un unico flusso musicale i due progetti Matrika ed Enchanting Circles.
